I'm a statistician by training, a lifelong sports fan, and a baseball coach. Put those three together and it was only a matter of time before I started digging into the numbers my own teams were putting up.
What started as curiosity turned into a framework: a way to see how a team is really performing, where it needs to improve, and what a coach can do to help. Now I build the same reports for coaches and their teams, in a form you can actually use between games.
Baseball is home turf, and it's where most of this work happens. The methods travel, though, so if you coach another sport and have numbers worth reading, I'd like to hear about it.
Referrals go to the front of the line. I keep the number of teams small so the work stays good, and coaches sent by someone I already work with get first call on open spots. No referral? Reach out anyway, and I'll get to you when I can.
