The fence
Built to keep stray soccer balls in the yard. Stayed for the looks.
The first run went up in the summer of 2020, for the simple reason that balls kept leaving the yard. Horizontal cedar boards on posts set in concrete, spaced to let the light through.
It worked well enough that more sections followed, until the fence wrapped the yard and the whole place turned into somewhere to play.
