The closet desk
The shortest commute in Kirkland.

The hanging rods came out, a plywood desktop went in, and a few days of patching and painting later the closet had become a place to work.

The build

Before: an ordinary closet.

Emptied out, rails still up.

Off to the lumber yard for a sheet of birch.

Measure twice, cut once.

Rails out, desktop going in.

Wall to wall.

The prep continues...

Desktop in, back wall next.

10 years of storage means lots of prep needed.

Taped off for paint.

Fresh paint.

Last coat on the trim.
